The Judd Allen Group has a long and rich history of working with higher education institutions. Since 1983 the founding architect of the Judd Allen Group has collaborated with many university and community colleges throughout Minnesota to complete a wide range of projects. These projects vary from campus to campus but the needs and demands of the student's environment are the focal point of their design.

For more than twenty years St. Cloud State University has relied on the Judd Allen Group to complete a wide variety of projects to maintain and correct several of its aging buildings. These projects range in scope and size, and include yearly re-windowing of dormitory buildings.

Biology Lab - Century College, West Campus - White Bear Lake, MN
With the growing need for more lab classrooms, several offices were vacated and a new state-of-the-art Biology Lab was created. Working with the current teaching staff, the needs and desirers were incorporated.

Exterior Restoration - Century College, East Campus - White Bear Lake, MN
Currently commissioned to correct the failing masonry issues at the vertical brick piers, the opportunity presented itself to unify the existing East Campus Building with the new Learning Resource Center Addition under construction.

Liberal Arts Building - Inver Hills Community College - Inver Hills, MN
Starting almost immediately after its completion, the Liberal Arts Building had water leakage issues. After exploratory demolition, it was determined that the building would be excavated, the foundation cleaned, and correctly waterproofed. Brick at the base of all the walls was also removed to install proper thru-wall flashing. The building remained occupied during the entire construction process.

Centennial Student Union - Minnesota State University, Mankato - Mankato, MN
From 2000-2007, the Judd Allen Group has been hired by Minnesota State University - Mankato to represent them on 8 separate construction projects that include plan review, design, and field inspection services. Inspection services include Brick Thru-Wall Flashing, Curtainwall and Window installation, and Interior/Exterior Waterproofing.

Exterior Rehabilitation - Minneapolis Technical College - Minneapolis, MN
This project consisted of an extensive exterior reconstruction due to building envelope failures. The buildings existing brick façade was completely removed and redone. The windows were also replaced, including a large four-story curtainwall enveloping one complete elevation. The building remained occupied during the entire construction process.
